'American Pickers' TV show to air Lynchburg episode Dec. 12

The "American Pickers" television show, starring Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, brought their popular History Channel program to Lynchburg on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The famous pickers were guests of Main Street resident and business owner David Shaffer and were checking out his antique motorcycles collection.

"Dave's storefront is filled with cool bikes and scooters, but his business plan is more show than sell," the History Channel promotion says.

That episode, along with the Pickers' travels through West Virginia and an Appalachian village museum, will air Monday, Dec. 12 on the History Channel.
