2 Paint Township residents face 25-count drug indictment
Two Paint Township residents are facing a 25-count indictment issued in Highland County Common Pleas Court.
According to a release from the Highland County Sheriff's Office, Mary Briscoe and Albert Cox were indicted by a grand jury last week. They were arraigned Wednesday and bond was set at their own recognizance.
They were each charged with nine counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth degree; one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony of the third degree; 10 counts of aggravated possession of drugs, felonies of the third and fifth degree; two counts of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree; two counts of drug possession, a felony of the fifth degree; and forfeiture specification, according to the HCSO.
A trial date has been scheduled for April 9. A status hearing is scheduled for Feb. 2.
Briscoe is being represented by attorney Jim Boulger of Chillicothe. No attorney had been listed yet for Cox on the Highland County Common Pleas Court website Wednesday.
