Hillsboro High School inducts new members into National Honor Society

Hillsboro High School hosted the 2023 National Honor Society induction ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Students go through an application process, and a selection committee considers the following categories: leadership, service, character and academics.
The 2023 inductees are: Austin Bledsoe, Carter Boyd, Allison Browning, Zach Burwinkel, Dalayna Collins, Brendan “Tate” Davis, Madison Dearmon, Ryan Fender, Kallie Fraley, Blake Herdman, Rylie Holland, Kate Holsted, Kendall Hudson, Halle Jones, Makenna Jurkovac, Addy Knauff, Maddisen Mikkelsen, Molly Smith, Andrew Tomko, Corbin Winkle and Emma Yochum.
Current NHS officers are president Tatum Burns, vice president Halle Reveal, treasurer Rylie Scott, secretary Olivia Watson and historian Madisyn Hollen. Other members include Reagan Eastes, McKenzie Gaines, Morgan Garman, Chelsie Hacker, Ramsey Haines, Hannah Holland, Addyson Miles, Scarlett Robinson, Marah Roush, Logan Savage, Savannah Sexton, Samantha Smith, Scarlett Studebaker, Gracie Thoroman and Jack Wagoner. The NHS advisers are Cindy Asmus and Stephanie Haines.
The keynote speaker for the 2023 ceremony was Highland County Auditor and HHS alumnus Alex Butler.
