Hillsboro bowling matches to air at wlru.radio12345.com; first broadcast to be Nov. 14
As reported in August by The Highland County Press, WLRU 106.9 FM is back on the air after temporarily being off the air due to the relocation of equipment.
According to Fr. Mike Paraniuk, the station's founder and program director, the new streaming address for WLRU is https://wlru.radio12345.com, and once again, Hillsboro High School bowling matches will be available online.
The first bowling match for HHS is Friday, Nov. 14, airing at 4:30 p.m. from Highland Lanes.
According to Fr. Mike, "Many people like to listen on their phones streaming WLRU. More and more people are excited to hear the broadcast, and I am excited to report it."
WLRU was founded in 2014 with its first broadcast on Christmas Eve, direct from the altar of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. It was founded by Fr. Michael Paraniuk and Larue Turner. WLRU is generously supported by its listeners. The WLRU (Where the Lord is Right for You) call letters came about through divine intervention, according to Fr. Mike.
