Highland County Society for Children and Adults receives donation from Ohio State Association of Emblem Clubs

The Highland County Society for Children and Adults recently received a $1,000 donation from The Ohio State Association of Emblem Clubs’ Statewide Charity Committee.
The Ohio State Association of Emblem Clubs has 356 members. There are currently eight active clubs in Ohio, which are located in Ashland, Fremont, Gallipolis, Hillsboro, Toledo, Upper Sandusky, Willoughby and Wooster.
The Hillsboro Emblem Club #277 has 17 members. The Hillsboro Emblem Club locally donates to the Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center, donates canned goods to the local food pantries, donates items for the First Baptist Church Blessing Bags and periodically donates items to the Highland County Homeless Shelter. They support local veterans, donate items to the schools and library for literacy and in December they buy Christmas gifts for the residents of the local nursing homes who have no families.
On the state level, the Ohio State Emblem Club gives out scholarships each year to high school seniors and college students. In addition, the Ohio State Emblem Club’s Statewide Charity Committee awards $3,000-$5,000 each year to charities throughout the state of Ohio.
The Highland County Society for Children and Adults Organization appreciates being named as one of this year’s recipients. Highland County has been blessed by the Ohio State Emblem Club’s Statewide Charity Committee for the past three years, standing with the Southern Ohio Pregnancy Center and the Area 937 Food Pantry also previously being awarded $1,000 donation.
