The Hillsboro High School Symphonic Choir has officially registered to participate in the 2012 World Choir Games, the largest international choral competition in the world, it has been announced by INTERKULTUR, the International Organizing Committee of the World Choir Games.

Ohio's unemployment rate was 7.6 percent in February, down from 7.7 percent in January, according to data released this morning by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). Ohio's nonfarm wage and salary employment rose 28,300 over the month from the revised 5,119,300 in January to 5,147,600 in February.

The Lynchburg-Clay Board of Education each year honors two area businesses for their financial and in-kind support of the students and staff. "We value our business partnerships and are extremely grateful for what you do on behalf of our school community," Superintendent Shane Shope said. The two recipients of the 2011-12 LC Varsity Club award were Terry's Grocery and Southern Hills Community Bank.

Ohio EPA will hold a public hearing on April 5 to accept comments about a draft solid waste permit issued to the Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L) related to its proposed Carter Hollow Landfill, located off Ginger Ridge Road, north of U.S. 52 and east of Co. Rd. 11 in Sprigg Township, Adams County.
