Hillsboro Police Report
The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Dec. 17-18.
On Dec. 17 at 7:08 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a two-car crash on Chillicothe Avenue. Christina Blackburn and Ivan Dumpert were traveling westbound on Chillicothe Avenue. Dumpert was approaching 340 Chillicothe Avenue when the operator observed deer in the roadway. Dumpert slowed to approximately 10 MPH to allow the deer to cross, and Blackburn allegedly struck Dumpert in the rear. Blackburn suffered functional damage, and Dumpert endured minor damage. Blackburn, 32 of Hillsboro was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
On Dec. 18, officers with the Hillsboro Police Department were dispatched to Treewood Drive for a reported subject with a warrant. The male was located driving a vehicle and stopped by officers. Derrick Rose, 47, of Cincinnati was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and turned over to the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.
Fay Gibson, 62, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
Heidi Traylor, 51, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
Phillip Vance, 58, of Hillsboro was cited for driving under suspension.
Jeremiah Walker, 41, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant.
Virginia Beall, 47, of Hillsboro was arrested for failure to appear on a bench warrant
