Hillsboro Police Report
The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Sept. 8-10.
On Sept. 8 at 5:33 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the area of North West Street and West Beech Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, David Inman, 66, of Hillsboro and Gregory Babb, 65, of Cedarville were both traveling southbound on North West Street. Inman allegedly failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead, causing him to strike Babb in a rear-end type collision. Minor injuries were reported on scene. Inman was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
On Sept. 8 at approximately 9:21 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call that a male subject was allegedly pointing a firearm at himself and others in the 100 block of North Glenn Street. Upon arrival, Gavin Katich, 25, of Hillsboro was arrested for aggravated menacing and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
On Sept. 9 at 5:55 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department investigated an injury crash at the intersection of North West and Harry Sauner. After investigation, it was found that Carly Quigley of Martinsville was operating an ambulance for Clinton Memorial Transportation on North West Street and allegedly failed to stop at a red light. Quigley allegedly collided with Maria Edmonson of Hillsboro, who was attempting to make a left turn heading eastbound onto Harry Sauner Road. Both vehicles had disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. Both drivers were transported to Highland District Hospital by Paint Creek EMS. Edmonson was Care Flighted from Highland District Hospital to Miami Valley Hospital, where she was treated and released on Sept. 10. Quigley was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Craig Shaver, 24, of Lynchburg was arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle.
Christopher Owens of Hillsboro was cited for driving under suspension.
Kyle Mathews of Hillsboro was cited for driving under suspension.
Jeffrey Tedford Jr. of Hillsboro was arrested for domestic violence.
Charles Derr of Hillsboro was arrested for public indecency.
