Hillsboro Police Report

The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Dec. 20-21.

Joseph Potts-Harperee, 35, of Hillsboro was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Jeremy Collett, 41, of Winchester was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On Dec. 20 at approximately 1:41 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Main Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Willa Mootz, 82, of Hillsboro was turning left from a private drive onto West Main Street when allegedly failing to yield the right-of-way to Patricia Jones, 52, of Hillsboro, who was traveling eastbound on West Main Street. No injuries were reported on scene. Mootz was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. 

On Dec. 21 at approximately 11:05 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the area of East Main Street at Chillicothe Avenue for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Joshua Lee, 29, of Hillsboro was traveling eastbound on East Main Street. Jennifer Hurley, 45, of Lucasville was traveling westbound on East Main Street and was approaching the intersection of Chillicothe Avenue. Hurley allegedly failed to notice the stop sign at the intersection and passed through it. As a result, Hurley allegedly entered into Lee’s lane of traveling, causing her to strike his vehicle on the rear passenger side. No injuries were reported on scene. Hurley was cited for failure to obey traffic control device. 

On Dec. 21 at approximately 4:57 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a business in the 100 block of East Main Street for a report of two females fighting. After further investigation, Kayla Jackson, 29, of Hillsboro was cited for disorderly conduct and advised she has been trespassed from the property. Jackson then allegedly failed to leave the premises after being instructed to do so several times. Jackson was then arrested for criminal trespassing and was transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
