Hillsboro man sentenced for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor
A Hillsboro man was sentenced to four years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
As previously reported, Trenton Hibbs, 26, was indicted on the third-degree felony charge in February.
The indictment alleged that Hibbs “did knowingly engage in sexual conduct” with a minor under the age of 16 last October, while “knowing” the victim’s age “or being reckless in that regard.”
Hibbs pleaded guilty to the charge May 3, and Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss proceeded to sentence him to 48 months in prison. Hibbs had 122 days of jail time credit.
In addition, Hibbs will be classified as a tier II sex offender. Tier II sex offenders are ordered to register every 180 days for 25 years.
