Fairfield 7th grade Lady Lions finish undefeated in SHAC regular season

The Fairfield Lady Lions seventh grade team went a perfect 11-0 in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference for the 2019-20 regular season, wrapping up their perfect record with a 37-14 win over the Peebles Lady Indians.

Fairfield is also undefeated overall with a 13-0 record.

Against Peebles on Wednesday, the Lady Lions outscored Peebles, 6-3 in the first quarter, and from there in the second outgained the Lady Indians, 12-1 for a halftime lead of 18-4.

Fairfield continued to lead the game with a 7-3 third frame and 10-4 fourth quarter.

Leading the way for the Fairfield seventh graders was Mya Hamilton with 24 points, followed by Isabelle Brunck with four points and Kassi Miller with three points.

Scoring two points each were Jobey Hattan, Mackenzie Anderson and Kinley Cox.

Next is the SHAC seventh grade tournament, where Fairfield will play on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Fairfield Middle School against the winner of Ripley and Lynchburg-Clay. Fairfield is the No. 1 seed in the seventh grade girls tournament.
