Fairfield 7th grade girls move to 14-0; advance in SHAC tournament

The Fairfield Lady Lions 7th grade girls basketball team improved to 14-0 overall, and advanced in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference tournament by defeating the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs, 30-11.

From the first quarter on it was Fairfield — who were the regular season SHAC champions — controlling the game, leading 12-2 at the end of there first quarter, followed with an 8-0 second frame for a 20-2 halftime lead.

The second half saw Fairfield have an 8-4 third frame, and Lynchburg-Clay won the fourth at 5-2 for what allowed Fairfield to win by 19 points.

Mya Hamilton led Fairfield with 14 points, and Hannah Hamilton scored six points in the win. Isabelle Brunck, Kassi Miller, Halle Jones, and Mallory Tolle each scored two points in the victory for Fairfield.
