Three Whiteoak students compete in scholarship contest

Created in 1947, the Voice of Democracy program is an audio-essay contest that provides more than 3 million dollars in scholarships to American students each year. The national winner will receive a $30,000 scholarship that is given directly to the recipient's American university. This year, three Whiteoak students were chosen by the Hillsboro Veterans of Foreign Wars as the school-wide winners. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Fannin, Kelly Rudler, and Taryn Watson for their achievements. Good luck to Kaitlyn Fannin as she goes on to speak in the regional competition!
