Hillsboro’s Claire, Corbin Winkle exhibit pigs at Ohio State Fair

Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA members Corbin and Claire Winkle recently had the chance to exhibit their pigs at the 2024 Ohio State Fair.
During the time of July 25-27, Corbin and Claire exhibited their purebred gilts. Claire showed her Duroc gilt, for which she received second in class. Claire also showed her Chester White gilt, with which she received fourth in class.
While Claire wasn’t showing, she competed in skillathon and won the 14-year-old age division and then was awarded the overall skillathon champion.
Corbin showed his Hampshire gilt, with which he received second in class and then third overall. Corbin also showed his Yorkshire gilt, for which he received first in class.
During the time of July 30 through Aug. 2, Corbin and Claire exhibited their purebred and crossbred barrows. Claire showed her Berkshire barrow, for which she received first in class and Champion Berkshire Barrow. Her Berkshire Barrow also received seventh overall barrow.
Claire also showed a Poland China Barrow, for which she received first in class and third overall Poland China Barrow. Claire showed a Tamworth Barrow that received third in class and a crossbred barrow that received second in class.
Corbin showed his Landrace Barrow, which received first in class and fifth overall Landrace Barrow. Corbin also showed his Duroc Barrow, which received first in class, and another Duroc Barrow received fifth in class.
Corbin showed his Chester White Barrow, which received third in class, and he showed his Crossbred Barrow, which also received third in class.
Congratulations, Claire and Corbin on your winnings at the 2024 Ohio State Fair. The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter is very proud of both of you.
