Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter holds annual Greenhand Night

By
Cameron Burkard, Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Vice President of Agriculture

On Oct. 30, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter held its annual Greenhand Night.

We had 149 members and guests present. The chapter inducted its newest members as greenhands of the FFA, which allowed them to experience the tradition of painting their hands green and plastering them on a poster. They were awarded the greenhand pin, then they were fully inducted into The Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter.

We discussed old business, such as Ag Day and committee reports, during the meeting. Corbin Winkle talked about our annual fruit sale and gave a treasurer’s report, and Dalayna Collins gave the secretary’s report.

The meeting was adjourned by Chapter President Carter Boyd, then we celebrated with cake and refreshments.

We look forward to what these newly inducted greenhands will accomplish in their journey in the FFA.
