On Saturday, Feb. 24, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter hosted their 27th annual Hillsboro FFA Alumni Consignment Auction. The chapter partners with Rick Williams Auction Company to put on the auction every year.
Our members take on many jobs themselves to make sure the auction runs as smoothly as possible. These jobs consist of parking, item numbers, Friday night setup, cleanup, check out machinery, food booth and the grilling.
As a chapter, we had approximately 50 of our members show up to help with the different jobs. We are very thankful for all the tractor help, alumni volunteers, ringmen, clerks, office help, consignors, buyers and the parents who volunteer.
Now that the auction has ended, we are so excited to announce that we had 34 online buyers, 104 consignors, 519 registered bidders, 1,068 items clerked and 97.2 percent of the items sold. We greatly appreciate everyone coming out and supporting us every year and couldn't be more happy of the involvement of our members and past members.
