Hillsboro Elementary student wins RPHF Solid Waste District's annual billboard contest

The Ross, Pickaway, Highland, and Fayette (RPHF) Solid Waste District hosts an annual creative drawing billboard contest for all fifth graders in the four-county district. The winning billboards (one per county) will be displayed in April 2024, in observance of Earth Day (April 22, 2024). 
This year’s theme is Wasting Food Doesn’t Make You Cool. For Highland County, Maddie Burke, fifth grade student at Hillsboro Elementary, won the RPHF contest. Her teacher is Ms. Melissa Boysel.
Burke’s billboard can be seen at 318 state Route 138 and Route 28 beginning in April.
