Logan Peters, a senior at Hillsboro High School, won the RPHF Solid Waste District’s poster contest in honor of America Recycles Day.
America Recycles Day, observed Nov. 15, is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. To celebrate, the RPHF Solid Waste District challenged all high school students in the district to a poster contest.
In addition to Peters’ first-place award, winners included Emma Hinshaw, a senior at Pickaway Ross, in second place; and Miya Congrove, a freshman at Huntington High School, as honorable mention.
As the 2023 winner, Peters’ artwork will be professionally printed into posters and given to any classroom, business or office space interested.
