3 Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA members compete in Maine-Anjou and Chi Junior Nationals

During the last week of June, Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA members Blake Herdman, Emma Yochum and Connor Yochum traveled to Springfield, Mo., to spend the week at the Maine-Anjou and Chi Junior Nationals.
During this week, members participated in contests such as team fitting, public speaking, salesmanship, showmanship and the show.
Herdman achieved great success, winning her class. Emma Yochum brought home some division wins and was elected to the AJMAA Junior board. She will serve a two-year term on the national board. Connor Yochum was on a Top 10 fitting team.
Overall, it was a good week in Springfield.
