James E. Yoder
James E. Yoder, 74, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Highland District Hospital, Hillsboro.
He was born June 3, 1949, in Fostoria, the son of the late Dale Clinton and Myrtle Louise James Yoder.
Jim was a 1967 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and had attended Terra State Community College. He had worked as a lineman for a telephone company and retired from the Nokia Company. Jim was an avid HAM Radio operator and had just attended a HAM Fest in May. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Smith Tanner; daughter, Kristin (Jamie) Parks of Columbus; son, James (Julie) Yoder of Fremont; daughter, Kera (Scott) Kalseth of Florida; daughter, Brianne (Timothy) Dreher of Leesburg; eight grandchildren, Brady and Kellan Parks, Greyson, Anderson and Weston Kalseth, Katelyn Yoder and Blake and Olivia Dreher; and one sister, Martie (Rick) Ayers of Fremont.
Following cremation, a service will be held at a later date. The Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield is serving the family.

Very Sad News
Although never meeting in person, Jim and I had a great Amateur Radio working relationship over email. He was always so kind and courteous to me and I enjoyed our conversations. He will be greatly missed.
