Larry Richard Moore, 77, of Hillsboro passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 12, 2025 at his home. 

Larry was born March 7, 1947 in Washington Court House, the son of the late Fredrick Moore and Sylvia (Hakes) Thomas.

Larry worked hard as a self-employed painter. His favorite pastime was going to the American Legion and VFW and spending time with his friends there. He also enjoyed watching football games and mushroom hunting. Larry absolutely loved his grandchildren.
 
He is survived by his children, Ashley (Mike) Kim and John Moore both of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren, Bailee (Kyle) McDowell, Ryleigh Nichols, Branson Nichols, Dalton Nichols, Dylan Campbell, Ava Hivner, Addilynn Kim, Izabella Moore and Harper Moore; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Deliah McDowell; siblings, Shirley (Ron) Streff of Savannah, Tenn. and twin brother, Gary (Darlene) Moore of Pricetown; and lots of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Moore; and infant brother, John Moore. 

A gathering of friends will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. For more information or to leave an online condolence for the family please visit www.turnerfuneralhomes.cc.

Knew Dink a very long time . Great guy , who was always friendly and enjoyed a good time . He will be missed .
