Elroy R. Fitchpritch

Elroy R. Fitchpritch, 78, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1944 in Ironton, the son of the late Howard and Irene Blizzard Fitchpritch.

Elroy was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a machinist and worked at the Mead Paper in Chillicothe and Bundy Tubing in Washington C.H.

He is survived by a stepdaughter; Michele Fairrow of St. Paul, Minn.; and his caregiver, John David Turner of Greenfield.

Elroy was preceded in death by his wife, Clarisa “Chris” Newman Fitchpritch, on March 6, 2009.

A military graveside service will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Visitation will be held at the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort from noon until the time of the service. Following the service, he will be laid to rest beside his wife.

Elroy was a dear friend and a neighbor of mine. He would do anything to help any of his close friends and family out. I’ll always remember him and miss his courageous words and life advice for a man my age. God bless his soul
