City of Hillsboro to host 'Jeepers Creepers' event Oct. 20

The City of Hillsboro will host the annual Jeepers Creepers event Oct. 20 from 5-10 p.m. at Crossroads Park, 226 West Main St., Hillsboro.

The event will include a Jeep contest, costume contest, kids’ activities and live music by Violet Embers and Sick Serenity.

Food vendors will be Tater Patch BBQ, Aloha Tacos and More and Caleb Hill Concessions & Events. The Hillsboro Elks 361 will host a beer garden throughout the event.

Also during the event, the Highland County Peace Officers will host a cornhole tournament. Registration starts at 4:30 p.m., and bags fly at 5 p.m. The cost to enter is $40 per team, with all proceeds benefiting the Shop with a Cop program. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.
