William E. 'Bill' Tissot

William E. “Bill” Tissot, 84, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Cedarview Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Lebanon. 
 
He was born Nov. 1, 1938 in Mowrystown, the son of the late Willis Henry Tissot and Sarah Mae Wilson Tissot.
 
Bill retired from Cincinnati Milacron, was a member of the Wilmington Masonic Lodge and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany.   
 
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Linda Evans Tissot, whom he married Dec. 12, 1959; three children, Mary (Bob) Groves, Jim (Liz) Tissot and Mike (Mindy) Tissot; seven grandchildren, Christina (Jason) Morrow, Jamie (Jimmy) Roe, Steve (Jordan) Groves, Nick (Shannon) Tissot, Nathan (Rebekah) Tissot, Ashley (Danny Thokey) Tissot and Jared (Alexis Carmen) Tissot; and 11 great-grandchildren.
 
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Edward Tissot; brother, Roy Tissot; and brother-in-law, Carl “Bob” Evans.
 
 Services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at noon at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, with Pastor Steve Evans officiating. Masonic services will be held prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery, where the Wilmington American Legion Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
 
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 10 a.m.-noon at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington.
 
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
