Highland County commissioners Terry Britton, David Daniels and Brad Roades proclaimed the week of April 12-18 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Highland County during their Wednesday, April 15 meeting.
Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera told The Highland County Press that “effective immediately” – as of Wednesday, March 13 at 2:40 p.m. — he is “withdrawing my endorsement of any candidate” in the Highland County Sheriff’s race for the March 19 primary.
A former Highland County deputy sheriff appeared in Highland County Common Pleas Court Thursday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to a bill of information charging him with reckless homicide.
