WC’s Tobin qualifies for nationals as Quakers finish 16th at Great Lakes Regional

The Wilmington College men’s cross-country team finished 16th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Saturday afternoon with a score of 443. The Quakers had seven runners compete in Noah Tobin, Tate Yoder, Gabe Moore, Tyler Parks, Henry Hildebrandt, Bryson Robinette and Keegan Kidd.

Tobin (St. Mary's, Ohio/Memorial HS) finished in third place overall with a time of 24:54.5, which was good enough for him to qualify for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships next week in Terre Haute, Ind.

This is the second time in his career that Tobin qualified for the national meet. He was also named All-Great Lakes Region for the third time in his career.

Also earning All-Region for the first time in his career was junior Tate Yoder. Yoder finished in 22nd place with a time of 25:34.0. Moore ran a 26:17.5, which got him 61st place which is by far his best finish ever at this meet. Parks was 173rd with a time of 28:05.3.
In his first Great Lakes Regional race, Hildebrandt finished in 28:22.5 for 184th place while Bryson Robinette was 241st at 29:49.3. Kidd took 251st place for Wilmington in his first regional race, crossing the line in 30:18.2.

Tobin will represent the Quakers next Saturday at nationals in Terre Haute, Ind.
