Patriots fall to OSU-Marion

The Southern State Patriots dropped a game at the Patriot Center on Dec. 17 to OSU-Marion, 115-106 at the Patriot Center in Hillsboro.

SSCC was led in scoring by Jeremy Bennington with a game-high 37 points, scoring 22 in the second half.

The Patriots trailed 54-47 after the first half, but scored 59 points in the final 20 minutes. OSU-Marion scored 61 in the same half.

Tyler Jimison and Clint Boring each scored 25 points for the Patriots, followed with 11 points from Ryan Beasley. Boring had 15 points in the second half. Jimison scored 13 points in the first half.

Ross Daniel and Anthony Parker each scored four points.

SSCC was 10-of-15 from the free-throw line with 12 3-pointers. Jimison had five baskets from beyond the arc, while Bennington had four and Boring had three.

OSU-Marion had four 3-pointers and finished 13-of-17 from the free-throw line. They made 45 two-point baskets, with SSCC making 33. Jay Edwards (OSU-M) finished with a team-high 32 points.[[In-content Ad]]
