OSU’s Michael Hall Jr. selected in second round of NFL Draft

Just one Ohio State University football player was chosen Friday evening in the second and third rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft, being held near Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit. Michael Hall Jr. was taken in the second round, overall pick No. 54, by the Cleveland Browns.
Hall, a defensive tackle from Streetsboro, Ohio, played three seasons with the Buckeyes – 2021-22-23 – and declared for the NFL Draft following his junior campaign in 2023.
Additionally:
• He played in 28 games during this time and started 11 times, five times in 2022 and six times in 2023;
• He totaled 45 career tackles with 10.0 tackles-for-losses, totallng 64 yards;
• Also had six quarterback sacks; and
• He had a career best 24 tackles in 2023 and was named third-team all-Big Ten Conference.
