McDonald runs to state tournament

TROY — McClain junior Jon McDonald finished 10th in the 2010 Regional Cross Country tournament in Troy, Saturday afternoon.

McDonald ran a time of 16:41.2 for the No. 10 spot. The Top 16 of each regional, four regionals, earn a spot in the state tournament which takes place on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Scioto Downs Race Track in Columbus.

McClain junior Claeb Mootsipaw also ran in the regional, finishing 51st with a time of 17:50.7.

Washington's Rob King earned a spot in the state tournament with a 14th place finish (16:49.1).

Adrian Ross, of Unioto, won the Troy regional with a time of 15:56.7.[[In-content Ad]]
