For the third time this season and in her career, Wilmington Quakers senior catcher Samantha Schwab was named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Softball Athlete of the Week.

Wilmington played a pair of games on the road last week at Otterbein University. In game one, Schwab was 2-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored. She did the bulk of her damage in game two. In this contest, Schwab was 3-4 with two home runs, one double, seven RBI and two runs scored.

This was the third multi-home run game of the season for Schwab and the third game where she drove in five or more runs.

Schwab broke the program record for single-season home runs with 11 and RBI with 43. She was second in the OAC in home runs and tied for the OAC lead in RBI. She led the team with an .818 slugging percentage and was tied for second with one triple.

Schwab had 32 hits, five doubles, 10 walks, a .364 batting average and a .424 on base percentage. All this success came despite only playing in 29 games due to injury.
