Highland County Coon Hunters to hold shoots

    The Highland County Coon Hunters are sponsoring their semi-annual free Youth and Ladies Shoot for kids ages 17 and under and all ladies on Nov. 6, starting with a meal at noon.

    Supervised shooting and instruction will be offered on shotguns, rifles, and archery. Shooters can bring their own equipment or loaner
equipment is available. All ammunition is furnished. Do NOT bring your own ammo.

    A sporting clays trailer from the Highland County Rod and Gun Club will be used for moving targets and still targets will also be available.

    There is no charge for the meal or the shooting.

    The Highland County Coon Hunters will also be starting their winter card and trap shoots on Nov. 7th. at 10. Shoots will be held every other Sunday through February at 10. Food and drink is available. Come out to practice and improve your shooting. All shoots are open to the public and everyone is invited.
 
   The Coon Hunters clubhouse is located on Carper Lane 3 miles east of Hillsboro  off U.S. 50.
