Chillicothe's Sam Fabian named Prospect League Hitter of the Week

The Prospect League has announced its Week Four players of the week and Chillicothe's Samuel Fabian has been named Hitter of the Week, the second Paint to earn the honor this season.

In six games and 24 at-bats this past week, Fabian hit .458 with 11 hits, nine runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and 12 runs batted in. He also grabbed 22 total bases and put up a 1.436 on-base + slugging percentage.

So far this season, the Santiago, Dominican Republic native is hitting .286 over 21 games with three doubles, a Prospect League-best seven home runs and 24 RBIs.

Fabian hit .273 in 51 games this spring for Wayland Baptist with 39 hits, 40 runs and 40 RBIs.

Fabian joins Alex Bemis as the second Chillicothe player to be named Hitter of the Week in 2024.
