Mustangs golf defeats Whiteoak and Eastern
In a boys golf contest among teams from the Southern Hills Athletic Conference, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs won a tri-match against both the Whiteoak Wildcats and Eastern Warriors Monday at Friendly Meadows.
The Mustangs won with a team score of 163, dominating the competition as WHS carded a 187 and Eastern ended their nine-hole round at 214.
Saxen Wilkin led the Mustangs with a score of 39, while Jackson West was next in scoring at 40.
Aiden Bene finished with a score of 42, and LCHS teammate Nolan Wilkin also carded a 42 score. Kristian Beachy finished the match with a score of 44, and Cole Wells had a 51 score.
