Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys golf begins 2025 season

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys golf team opened their 2025 season on Tuesday morning (July 29), hitting the links at Hilltop against the North Adams Green Devils. 

Against their Southern Hills Athletic Conference counterpart, the Mustangs fell in the season opener by a 167-171 score with the Green Devils winning with the low-team score. 

Lynchburg-Clay was led by Kristian Beachy and Jackson West as each golfer carded a 42 round. 

Next came Nolan Wilkin with a score of 43, followed by Carson Pfister with a 44 score. 

Austin Manning finished with a round of 48 for the day, and Tanner Roberts carded at 54 score for the Mustangs. 

Next for Lynchburg-Clay is a match at the Portsmouth Elks on Thursday, July 31 as they are set to play in the Portsmouth Invitational at 9 a.m.
