Mustangs golf defeats Manchester and Whiteoak

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs earned a tri-match win against two Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponents on Tuesday (Aug. 5) by defeating the Manchester Greyhounds and Whiteoak Wildcats in boys golf action at the Hillsboro Elks.
LCHS — winning with a score of 161 — led by 10 strokes over the second place Greyounds, who had a score of 171. The Wildcats were third with a score of 198.
The Mustangs had nine golfers compete (as usually there are only four to five golfers per team, per event). The low score (and top score) for LCHS was Kristian Beachy with a score of 39.
Next for Lynchburg-Clay was Nolan Wilkin with a score of 42 for the tri-match, and Jackson West finished with a 43 score.
Also with scores in the 40s for Lynchburg-Clay in the nine-hole event were Tanner Roberts at 45 and Austin Manning with a score of 49.
LCHS also had Koen Collins with a score of 54, Carson Pfister finished with a score of 57 and Jayden Pettit ended the day with a score of 60.
