Indians drop FAC baseball game to Washington
The Hillsboro Indians lost a Frontier Athletic Conference game on Friday in Washington Court House, falling to the host Washington Blue Lions, 12-0 in five innings.
HHS finished with three hits in the FAC game, while the Blue Lions totaled five hits. HHS committed an error. Scoring for the Blue Lions included one run in the bottom of the first, nine runs in the third, and two runs scoring the fourth.
Will Hart was 1-for-1 with a double and a walk for the Indians. Korbin Adams went 1-for-3 with a steal, Bryce Parsons finished 1-for-2 and had a steal, and Brogan Priest had a steal and a walk.
Ben Miller was charged with the loss, allowing seven runs on three hits and five walks in 2.2 innings. Gavin Thompson didn’t record an out, but allowed three runs (none earned) on two hits and two walks. Walker Pence pitched 1.1 innings, allowing two runs on no hits and three walks.
HHS now stands at 2-12 overall in 2023.
