McClain falls in three sets to visiting Chillicothe
In a home contest in Frontier Athletic Conference play, the McClain Lady Tigers fell in three sets to the visiting Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers.
Chillicothe won by scores of 25-12, 25-14 and 25-12 for the three-set win over MHS.
McClain as a team had 14 kills, with Brynlee Barnes collecting six and Adalynn Snyder having four. MHS also had two kills from Alaya Jackson and one each by Anzli Beatty and Lydia Beatty.
The Lady Tigers were led by Molly McCune with three aces. Also having an ace were Lydia Beatty and Jackson. Karnes and Jackson each had a block in the FAC contest, while the team total in digs for MHS was 40. The digs leader for the Lady Tigers was Lillie Saunders with 16, followed by Zoie Everhart with eight and Snyder with seven. Also with digs for MHS were Shelby Wise (one), Karnes (three), McCune (three), Lydia Beatty (one) and Jackson (one).
Assists were led by McCune with 11. Also with an assist were Snyder, Anzli Beatty and Jackson each with one. Saunders led the Lady Tigers with 22 service receptions, while Snyder finished with 15 and Everhart had 10. Lydia Beatty totaled nine, Wise totaled six and Jackson had five.
MHS is now 1-5 overall this season.

Hillsboro suffered first loss of season
The Hillsboro Lady Indians had their perfect start to the season ended with a Frontier Athletic Conference road loss to the Miami Trace Lady Panthers in four sets at MTHS on Tuesday.
HHS lost the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 27-25, but came back with a win in the third set at 25-13. The fourth set saw MTHS defeat the Lady Indians at 25-21.
Hillsboro had two players with 13 kills each as they were Ryan Wagoner and Tylee Davis. Kills for HHS were also collected by Riley Pence (three), Kayla Seeling (one), Josie Rhoades (one), Marianne Mycroft (one) and Emmalee Young (five).
Hillsboro also had 13 aces in the loss with Wagoner totaling five, and the rest went to Pence (one), Seeling (three), Davis (two), Rhoades (one) and Mycroft (one), as Mycroft also had one block.
The digs leader for the Lady Indians was Davis with 18, but next were Allie Roush with 17 and Wagoner with 15. Also recording digs were Pence (one), Seeling (nine), Rhoades (three), Mycroft (one), Young (three) and Macy Fauber (six).
Hillsboro also collected 36 assists as a team with 33 of them by Seeling, while having one assist each were Wagoner and Mycroft.
In service receptions, Rhoades totaled 16, followed by Wagoner with 15, Fauber with 12 and Roush with 10. Service receptions were also collected by Pence (one), Davis (seven) and Young (two).

Fairfield sweeps Eastern in 3 straight sets
In a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game on Tuesday? the Lady Lions of Fairfield defended Grandle Gymnasium with a three-set win over the visiting Eastern Lady Warriors.
Fairfield won their SHAC match by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-13.
The win moves the Lady Lions to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the SHAC Division II standings.
