McClain softball ends season against Logan Elm

The 2024 season for the McClain Lady Tigers came to a close on Wednesday evening, as they lost to the Logan Elm Lady Braves in the Division II SE District Sectional Finals by a 6-2 score at LEHS. 

McClain scored their two runs with one in the top of the fifth inning and another run in the top of the seventh. LEHS scored two runs in the bottom of the first, followed by one run in each of the third through sixth innings. 

MHS totaled seven hits and had no errors in the game. Logan Elm finished with nine hits and no errors. 

Allie Flowers finished the game with a 2-for-3 at the plate, as she hit a double in the loss. 

Lindsey Hutchinson was 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI. Brie Cummins went 1-for-4 with one RBI. Kenzi Wise finished 1-for-2 and was hit by a pitch, and Harley Peabody was 1-for-2 with two runs and one walk. Sarah Easter finished 1-for-3. 

Gracie Bowers pitched seven innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on nine hits and no walks with two strikeouts. 

MHS ends the season at 7-14 overall.
