McClain girls golf falls to Piketon, North Adams

The McClain Lady Tigers golf traveled to Big Beaver Creek Golf Club in Piketon for a tri-match with the Piketon and North Adams on Wednesday, Aug. 14 as Piketon won the team event.

Final team scores saw PHS win with a 205, followed by North Adams at 234 and McClain with a 277.

McClain’s scores included: Hailey Cornett 62, Emma Marsh 62, Sarah Kegley 76, Kate Barrett 77, Addison Goddard 77 and Maguire Ross 80.

Laila Kelley of Piketon was the match medalist with a score of 44.

Scores for Piketon also included: Renee Hill 50, Brenna Weaver 55, Riley Wagner 56, Emma Cutler 60 and Piper Brodess 76.

North Adams scores were: Emmy Holt 50, Lilly Parker 60, Leah Caldwell 60, Brooklyn Mahan 64 and Madison Marshall 78.
