GREENFIELD — The Jackson Ironladies volleyball team spoiled McClain’s senior night on Tuesday, Oct. 6 after winning the match in four sets.

Jackson won sets one and two by identical 25-15 scores before McClain bounced back in the third set and won 25-19. In the fourth set of the match the Ironladies would prevail 25-19 to take the match.

The Lady Tigers fought hard all night and were led by several players who turned in fine all-around performances.

It was also a night to honor McClain’s five seniors Brooke Martin, Shelby Wise, Adalynn Snyder, Molly McCune, and Lillian Keller as they have all been great role models to some talented underclassmen teammates, representing McClain High School with honor and dignity.

McClain head coach Cierra Bolender had lots of praise for her five seniors after the match.

“My five seniors Molly, Broke, Adalynn, Shelby, and Lillian, have left a piece of themselves in McClain volleyball that will stay long after this season is over,” she said. “I’m so proud of the way they’ve fought through the hard times, and the way they’ve continued to show up for each other.

“Coaching is so much more than wins and losses and these five girls are why I love this program so much.

“I will always be grateful for the memories, the laughs, the lessons learned, and the time that they’ve given to McClain volleyball. They will always be Lady Tigers and this program will always be a little bit theirs.”

McClain will host Hillsboro on Thursday, Oct. 8.
