The McClain track and field program will host the inaugural Tiger Youth Track Clinic July 23-24 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the McClain track, where kids from second to sixth grades can dive into the thrilling world of track and field.

This two-day clinic is designed to help you develop your skills, improve your technique and discover the joy of running, jumping and throwing, but wait — there's more excitement in store.

On July 25, starting at 6 p.m, put your training to the test at the Mini-Meet. Compete against fellow athletes, set new personal bests and feel the rush of crossing the finish line.

This incredible experience is offered for just $25. Your registration fee covers both clinic days and includes access to the Mini Meet. Plus, every participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt to remember this special event!.

Participants will choose events for the Mini Meet after the Wednesday, July 24 clinic. For participants in second, third and fourth grade, you can choose three events from the following:
• Shot Put: Demonstrate your strength and precision as you launch the shot into the distance.
• Long Jump: Feel the thrill of soaring through the air as you leap toward victory.
• 60 or 100 Meters: Show off your speed and agility in this exciting sprint.
• 400 Meters: Test your endurance and determination with a lap around the track.

For participants in fifth and sixth grade, you also have the opportunity to choose three events from the following:
• Shot Put or Long Jump: Showcase your talent in the field events.
• 100 Meters or 400 Meters or 800 Meters: Take your pick from these running events and show us what you're made of.

Wear a comfortable T-shirt, athletic shorts and trusty running shoes. Dress for success and be ready to give it your all on the track.

The participation fee is $25, payable on July 23, starting at 5:30 p.m. Both cash and checks will be accepted. If paying by check, please make it payable to the McClain Athletic Department.

Parents, guardians, siblings and friends are invited to come out and support our young athletes at the Mini-Meet. Admission will be free. Let's fill the stands with cheers and applause as we celebrate their hard work.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow, compete and have a blast with fellow young athletes. Sign up and prepare to roar at the Tiger Youth Track Clinic.
