Greenfield is the place to be this holiday season. Main Street Downtown Greenfield is thrilled to announce a day full of festive activities for the entire family. Join us Dec. 7 from noon-8 p.m. for ChristKindl Markt, the annual Cookie Walk and an array of exciting holiday events, all culminating in the spectacular Eagles Christmas Parade.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and a special guest. Breakfast with Santa will be served from 9-11 a.m. at CC's Eats and Treats, located at 703 South 7th Street. Enjoy a delicious meal and share your Christmas wishes with Santa.

Next, embark on a sweet adventure during our Cookie Walk, now in its second year. Main Street Downtown Greenfield’s Cookie Walk runs from noon to 2 p.m. Participants can explore Greenfield and collect cookies from 20 local businesses, with each stop offering a unique treat.

Check-in begins outside the Village of Greenfield Townhall, and tickets are just $5. With limited availability on the day of the event, pre-sale tickets are highly recommended. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at CC’s Eats & Treats, Small Town Fitness, or Sassy Sisters Boutique until Wednesday, Dec. 4.

During the Cookie Walk, visit the Greenfield Historical Society at Travellers Rest, where Santa and his elf, Bjorn, will be available for pictures and conversations from noon to 2:30 p.m. This charming historic setting provides the perfect backdrop for capturing holiday memories.

At 3 p.m., head over to Lakeside Real Estates at 238 Jefferson Street for Storytime with Santa, a magical experience for children of all ages.

In the evening, the festivities continue with the highly anticipated Eagles Christmas Parade. Parade line-up begins at 4 p.m. at the Greenfield Research parking lot, with judging taking place at line-up. The parade steps off at 6 p.m., traveling down Jefferson Street, filling the town with lights, music and holiday joy.

After the parade, meet Santa at the Townhall for more holiday magic.

Additionally, don’t miss the Live Nativity, hosted by the Greenfield Area Christian Ministerial Association. This beautiful portrayal of the nativity story will be held at the Christian Union Campground, 378 Chestnut Street, and is free for all attendees.

The ChristKindl Markt is inspired by traditional German Christmas markets, where holiday cheer meets old-world charm. Located on South Washington Street, the market will be open from noon to 8 p.m. and will feature numerous vendors offering a variety of handcrafted gifts, seasonal décor and unique holiday items.

In addition to the market’s vendors, local Greenfield businesses will be open, providing even more shopping options. This is the perfect chance to find one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting small businesses in the community.

Hungry after all that shopping? Enjoy delicious food from Hot Diggity Dogs, or savor a warm pretzel from Main Street Downtown Greenfield — a delightful treat to keep your hands and heart warm as you explore.

Among the highlights of the ChristKindl Markt is the limited-edition holiday ornament, available for $10. This year’s ornament, designed by Greenfield native artisan Taylor Fitzpatrick of Simply Metal Designs, is a beautifully handcrafted keepsake that celebrates the spirit of the season. Quantities are limited, so be sure to grab yours early.
