Rosemary Jean Kropfelder

Rosemary Jean Kropfelder, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023 at home.
 
She was born Aug. 29, 1954 in Cincinnati, the daughter of Edgar and Margaret (Long) Hayes.
 
Rosemary was a 1972 graduate of Seaton High School in Baltimore, Md. She was a member of the St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield and the Greenfield Hobby Club.
 
She was a homemaker, former employee of Great American Insurance in Cincinnati and R.H. Service in Mocksville, N.C. and a volunteer at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
 
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Thomas Kropfelder, whom she married Feb. 24, 1973; four children, Eugene Scott Kropfelder of Charlotte, N.C., Elizabeth (Joseph) Fryman of Covington, Ky., Brad Thomas (Judy Marie) Kropfelder of Atlanta, Ga. and Megan Ann Kropfelder of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren, Holly, Joseph, Dustin, Haley, Lori, Tyler and Alayna; one brother, Thomas (Katherine) Hayes of Cincinnati; three sisters, Kathy (Terry) Brannen of Glenneste, Peggy Halpin of Cincinnati and Julie (Don) Handell of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Hayes and Patrick Hayes; and both parents.
 
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 17 from 4-7 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, followed by cremation.
 
Mass will be Friday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at the St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield with Father Mike Paraniuk and Father Mark Bredestage officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at the convenience of the family.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 200 Vesey St., 28th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10281.
