Ralph Edward “Pete” McConnell Jr.

Ralph Edward “Pete” McConnell Jr., 69, of South Salem, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
 
He was born June 8, 1954, in Montgomery County, the son of Ralph Edward McConnell Sr. and Caroline Virginia (Race) McConnell.
 
He was a truck driver and ordained minister and devoted daily time to his online ministry.  
 
He is survived by his life companion, Linda Gail Lester; one daughter, Michelle L. (Silas) Hatfield of Billingsley, Ala.; one son, Elijah M. Cole of South Salem; four grandchildren, Chase, Whitney, Alexander and Dahlia; one sister, Ann (Tom) Green of Lynchburg; one brother, Butch Wilcox of Hillsboro; numerous nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law, Tim (Brenda) Lester of Greenfield, Allen (Nancy) Lester of Sabina and Mark (Laura) Knell of New Vienna; special friends, Danny and Veronica Brown of Hillsboro; and his bird, Pickles.
 
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn McConnell; mother-in-law, Gail Knell; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 25 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
