Case Background

On May 30, AEP Ohio filed an application to increase rates and charges for electric distribution service.

In its application, AEP Ohio proposed rates that would see a residential customer who uses 1000 kWh a month having a $3.95 or 2.14 percent increase. After reviewing the application, PUCO staff recommended a decrease that would lower bills by $1.47 or 0.80 percent.
