Paul Rigsby
Paul Rigsby, 84, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
He was born July 16, 1938 in Magoffin County, Ky., the son of the late Hayden and Peachie (Montgomery) Rigsby.
Paul was a member and deacon of the Marshall Church of Christ. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and playing golf. He never met a stranger, was a devoted family man and was a part of the “Grumpy Old Men” breakfast club (as they liked to call it).
Paul is survived by his wife, Lynda (Rhoades) Rigsby, to whom he was united in marriage March 1, 1958; four children, Cathy Rigsby of Chantilly, Va., Paula (Rich) Pennington of McLean, Va., Brian (Karen) Rigsby of Hillsboro and Mark (Sandi) Rigsby of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Morgan, Grant, Dylan, Zane and Grayson; one great-granddaughter, Adalyn; siblings, Huey (Bonita) Rigsby of Waverly, Lou (Delbert) Slone of Waynesfield, Johnnie Rigsby of Peebles, Ivan (Kathy) Rigsby of Peebles, Ray (Linda) Rigsby of Waverly, Larry (Dianne) Rigsby of Newtonsville, Gary (Loretta) Rigsby of Lorton, Va. and Jan Ingham of Waverly; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Besides his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by his siblings, Luria Prater, Rurie Slusher, Frances Rowe and David Allen Rigsby.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Good News Gathering, Hillsboro. Burial will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
