Paints’ Tim Orr named Mike Schmidt Player of the Year in the Prospect League

The Prospect League is proud to announce the 2023 Season Individual Awards. The awards were voted on by the league's 17 field managers and are announced throughout this week.
The next award to be announced is the Mike Schmidt Player of the Year, given to the league's top player each season. This year's recipient is Chillicothe Paints OF Tim Orr of Tiffin University.
Orr appeared in 50 games for Paints during the 2023 regular season. He hit .385 with 69 hits, 61 runs scored, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 6 home runs and 54 runs batted in. The outfielder also added a .484 on-base percentage, .626 slugging percentage and 13 stolen bases.
Orr finished first in the Prospect League in runs scored, second in hits, fourth in doubles, third triples, fifth in runs batted in, third in batting average, sixth in on-base percentage, fifth in slugging percentage and first in total bases.
Orr was also named an Eastern Conference All-Star this week.
