OU alum James Bostic drafted by XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks

Ohio University football alumnus James Bostic (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) was drafted by the XFL's St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft.
Bostic played in all 14 games for the Bobcats in 2022, starting 13 times. The wide receiver finished the season with 33 receptions on 607 yards; his longest reception of the season clocked in at 54 yards and he scored one touchdown.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native made his debut at Peden Stadium on Sept. 4, 2021. He went on to play in all 12 games that season, catching five passes and recording 34 yards. Bostic earned Academic All-MAC accolades twice.
Prior to Ohio, Bostic played for Vanderbilt from 2017-20. He saw action in 24 games, making his collegiate debut in 2018 against Notre Dame. Bostic's first career reception was against Georgia in 2019.
While at Cardinal Gibbons, he was labeled a three-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports. Bostic was named 2016 All-County and participated in the 2016 Broward-Dade All-Star Game.
