Just nasty

I tried to come up with a more genteel headline, but I couldn’t.
We have a political party in this country that has become just nasty. And yes, the opposition gets in this gutter just a little bit once in a while, but nothing like the party of the donkey does.
When I was a child, the word “darn” was not used in our house. I am not saying I did not use it or worse. I said it was not used in our house.
Today, swearing is everywhere. I think its ubiquity makes it ineffective and generally lowers the quality of discourse.
I went to AI (ChatGPT) to get some insights into this subject. Some of the things I found there that corresponds with my thinking, particularly when it comes to political parties and politicians:
• “In formal or high-stakes environments, swearing usually lowers perceptions of intelligence, self-control and professionalism.”
• “…Overuse can backfire, coming across as bullying or insecurity rather than confidence.”
• “Because swear words are socially loaded, they can easily offend, especially across generations, cultures or social groups.”
In summary, “swearing is a social tool. When used sparingly and in the right context, it can build credibility, humor, and connection. But when used carelessly or excessively, it can damage trust, respect and relationships.”
Articulate speakers do not need such words.
Think of President Reagan, the great communicator. Wikipedia says this about him: “Reagan's effectiveness as a public speaker earned him the moniker, ‘Great Communicator.’ Former Reagan speechwriter Ken Khachigian wrote, ‘What made him the Great Communicator was Ronald Reagan's determination and ability to educate his audience, to bring his ideas to life by using illustrations and word pictures to make his arguments vivid to the mind's eye. In short: he was America's Teacher.’”
Not a word about swearing here.
So, party of the donkey, your words and intents since the assassination of Charlie Kirk have not, for this septuagenarian, persuaded me that you have any ideas you can articulate or that I want to follow.
In fact, you have just had the opposite effect.
If you want many of us to follow you, you might start with cleaning up your language and your vision of what the United State should be.

Bad Words
Oh come on. I don't believe for a second that someone who calls themselves a septuagenarian and uses genteel in the very first sentence couldn't come up with a different word than nasty when talking about other people.
If American conservatives want anyone to listen to them, a good place to start would be to stop making rude comments about their fellow Americans of whatever political bent, be it Democrat, RINO, Libertarian, Green, Democratic Socialist or even the American Nazi Party.
Words have power. Insults like nasty, stupid, ugly, horse face, low IQ, dog, crazy, and vermin are also "social tools" and just as powerful as Lenny Bruce's 9 words. But unlike Lenny's vocabulary, I can't think of any situation where the above words could be used to build credibility, humor, or connection. They are the words a 5th grade bully would use to try and make someone feel bad, like calling a 12 year old with acne "pizza face".
Strong, secure, articulate people don't need or use such insults. Ronald Reagan sure didn't.
Dog-faced pony soldier - Joe Biden
Didn't Joe Biden call a woman voter a dog-faced pony soldier? Didn't Joe Biden call the majority of the voters garbage? Didn't Joe Biden call reporter Peter Doocy an SOB? Didn't Hillary say many Trump supporters are a basket of deplorables? Then Hillary just proclaimed from the mighty hilltop of the 'mourning' Joe show on msnbc, "The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was, dominated by, you know, let's say it, White men, of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology, is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for..." - loser Hillary Ramrod Clinton, September 2025. Her speech pattern and syntax is just awful. Never mind she's a nasty woman. You would think she would be able to speak, off the cuff, (she should be in cuffs) without loading her dumb points with a boat load of ums and ya' knows... Speaking of nasty political women, MA Sen. Elizabet Warren takes the cake. President Trumps calls her "Pocahontas." A perfect and succinct moniker. Because it encapsulates the essence of who Sen. Warren is: a liar. She lied about who she is, period. She's not an American Indian as she has claimed over the years on a bunch of applications and bios. She even went as far as submitting her recipes to some exclusive American Indian recipe book called the "Pow-Wow Chow." That type lies and falsehoods about your own identity in order to gain preferential treatment is absolutely wrong and corrupt. Yet Warren is still 1 of 100 Senators in my Country. When President Trump calls her "Pocahontas", it exposes who she is and how she lies, with one word. The same goes for Crooked Hillary. When one earns a descriptive name or an accurate adjective, especially when their salary is paid by taxpayers, then a whiny left-wing commentator should be more introspective and think before he types.
I guess...
...none of them were Ronald Reagan, were they? I suspect you will love the pop up ad on hud.gov that covers up the content until you close it. Very professional, and not at all a misuse of government funds or websites for petty partisan purposes.
HEE HAW
Cursing is one of Satan's most powerful tools.
Perhaps the profane party should replace their donkey mascot with a huge foulmouthed jackass.
