Willie L. Hollon, 85, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born May 9, 1932 in Holly, Ky., the son of the late Isaac and Georgeann Dunn Hollon.
Mr. Hollon had retired from the General Motors Corporation in Dayton after 30 years of service.
He was an avid fisherman and loved visiting with his family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Renda (James) Nickell of Lynchburg and Vonda Young of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Tamara (John) Wilson of Lynchburg, Jeromey (Cheyenne) Barr of Hillsboro, Michael Nickell of Lynchburg and Rachel (Rick) Hostetler of Hillsboro; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Barr, Alexis Barr, Riley Wilson, Karter Nickell, Madison St.Clair, Mason Hostetler and Mathias Hostetler; longtime friend, Juanita Strain of Washington C.H.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Brewer Hollon, on April 15, 2013; and two brothers, Oldham and Nolan John Hollon.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Kenny Brewer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the church.
